58 people died as a result of earthquake in Alay region of Osh oblast in the village of Nur in Kyrgyzstan, the agency reports referring to news agency Kabar.

Almaty. October 7. Kazakhstan Today - 58 people died as a result of earthquake in Alay region of Osh oblast in the village of Nur in Kyrgyzstan, the agency reports referring to news agency Kabar.

According to the press service of the Emergency Ministry of Kyrgyzstan, 120 of 150 houses in the village have been completely destroyed, more than 50 people have been injured, the road bed has collapsed, and communication has been completely destroyed.

The earthquake occurred on October 5 at 22.53. The earthquake in the epicenter reached a magnitude of 8 on the Richter scale.

As it was informed earlier, according to Kazakhstan Institute of Seismology of the Ministry of Education and Science, the territory of Kyrgyzstan struck 14.5 power class earthquake on October 5 at 21.54. The epicenter of the earthquake was in 405 kilometers from Almaty to the south and southwest.
