Almaty. September 13. Kazakhstan Today - The damage caused by the fire on the Mokhnatka mountain amounted to 388 million tenge, Kazakhstan Today reports.

According to the Chairman of the Committee for Forestry and Hunting Yerlan Nysanbaev, damage caused by fire on the Mokhnatko mountain amounted to 388 million tenge, the press service of Almaty Akim informed.

Akim of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yesimov underlined that at present the main issue is the threat of avalanches in autumn and winter, which can lead to casualties among the local population and tourists, as well as cause damage to local infrastructure (road, cable cars, sports facilities). In addition, A. Yesimov again appealed to the Minister of Agriculture Asylzhan Mamytbekov, voicing problematic issue on clean-up of fallen trees left after the hurricane passed in Ile-Alatau National Park in May and June 2011.

"This issue is of concern to all residents of Almaty. We need to use additional forces and immediately tailor sales of windfall to the private sector at an affordable price in order to clear the Ile-Alatau National Park and generally complete the elimination of the consequences of fire. I think the government will allocate the necessary funds for this purpose, but since then we are ready to take part in this work," A. Yesimov said.

First Deputy Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov instructed MOA, MES and Almaty region administration to accelerate cleanup on the Mokhnatka mountain, and to submit to the government by Friday, September 14 this year a comprehensive plan on cleaning up the Ile-Alatau National Park and infrastructure protection of Medeu to complete the work in 2013. In addition, S. Akhmetov instructed the Almaty region leadership to provide landscaping on the affected area.

We recall that on September 4 this year, Akim of Almaty during the meeting in the government raised the need to build avalanche restraining structures for high-roller "Medeo" and the need to eliminate the effects of fire on the Mokhnatka mountain. The Prime Minister Karim Massimov instructed First Deputy Prime Minister S. Akhmetov and the heads of the responsible Ministries to go to Almaty.
