Earthquake hit border of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

Two magnitude earthquake hit the border of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan on April, 8th. There are neither victims nor destructions, the agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Kazakhstan.

According to the Institute of Seismology of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, the 8.8 magnitude earthquake hit the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Republic (between the ridges Zaili and Kungei Ala Tau) on April, 8th at 23.15.

The epicenter of the earthquake was in 26 kilometers to the south from Almaty. Tremors were felt in Almaty - about 2 points on MSK-64 scale.
