Number of injured in cafe explosion increased up to 24 people
Almaty. December 4. Kazakhstan Today - The number of people injured in a cafe explosion in Almaty has increased up to 24, the agency reports citing the press service of the Emergency Ministry of Kazakhstan.
As a result of the explosion, a 22-year-old woman died, 24 more people have been hospitalized. The fire was extinguished at 15.06 by the forces of the fire brigade service of Almaty.
The tragedy happened in a cafe at the intersection of Timiryazev and Auezov streets due to explosion of 50 liters of gas containers with subsequent inflammation of the area of 60 square meters.
"13 people have been hospitalized. The list has been expanding as more injured people have been taken to hospital," the chairman of the Emergency Department of Almaty, Sergey Dyrin, said.
