Taiwan hit two 6.7 and 5 magnitude earthquakes

The water area near Hualyan area of Taiwan (Peoples Republic of China) hit two 6.7 and 5 magnitude with small intervals earthquakes, the agency reports citing Xinhua.

Almaty. July 14. Kazakhstan Today - The water area near Hualyan area of Taiwan (Peoples Republic of China) hit two 6.7 and 5 magnitude with small intervals earthquakes, the agency reports citing Xinhua.

According to China Seismological Bureau, 6.7 magnitude earthquake hit today at 02.05 Beijing time in Taiwan. The epicenter was in the water area approximately in 60 kilometers from Hualan County and 120 kilometers from the city of Taipei. The seismic centre was at the depth of 6 kilometers. According to the local mass media, the tremors were felt in all areas of the island.

According to Seismological Bureau, there was a repeated 5 point earthquake at 04.28 in the same water area.

Xinhua informs that 4 magnitude earthquake hit at 02:03 the area Nanao of the Taiwan County Ilan.
