A number of cooperation documents between Russia and Tajikistan signed

A number of bilateral documents were signed today in Dushanbe, following the results of the official negotiations between the Presidents of Tajikistan and Russia, Emomali Rahmon and Dmitry Medvedev, the agency reports referring to Asia-Plus.

Dushanbe. August 29. Kazakhstan Today - A number of bilateral documents were signed today in Dushanbe, following the results of the official negotiations between the Presidents of Tajikistan and Russia, Emomali Rahmon and Dmitry Medvedev, the agency reports referring to Asia-Plus.

The Joint Statement of two Presidents and a number of agreements have been signed: the Agreement between the governments of two countries on mutual protection of the rights to the results of intellectual activity used and received during bilateral military-technical cooperation; the Agreement between the Ministries of Culture of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of culture; the Agreement between Ministries of Agriculture of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation on cooperation in agriculture; the Agreement between the government of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation on cooperation in agriculture; the Agreement between the government of Tajikistan and the government of the Russian Federation on creation and activity of the International research center Pamir-Chakaltay.

During the negotiations the parties discussed the condition and prospects of the Russian-Tajik cooperation and the steps for further development of allied cooperation and strategic partnership.

"One of the main points of the negotiations of the leaders of the states has been discussion of the questions of expansion and strengthening of trade and economic cooperation, the principle of the Russian-Tajik military and military-technical cooperation and the work of the 201st Russian military base in Tajikistan," the press service informs.

Today D. Medvedev and E. Rahmon will visit the 201st Russian military base.
