Almaty hosts conference concerning Eurasian integration

The conference concerning Eurasian integration started its work on October 15 in Almaty, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Eurasian Bank of Development.

Almaty. October 16. Kazakhstan Today - The conference concerning Eurasian integration started its work on October 15 in Almaty, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Eurasian Bank of Development.

The conference is devoted to various questions of institutional and functional integration on the Eurasian space. The following questions will be discussed: integration of hydro-energy sector, common energy markets, integration of transport networks, problems of transport corridors, common institutional and financial aspects of transboundary physical infrastructure.

"Round table concerning measurement and estimations of integration processes will take place during the conference," the press service informs.

The bank's analysts will hold presentation of two information-analytical products of the bank at the conference: magazine Eurasian economic integration and almanac EDB Eurasian Integration Yearbook.

"More than 70 large scientists and leading experts in the field of economic and political interstate relations from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belgium, the Great Britain, Germany, China, the USA, and Switzerland will take part in the conference. The chairmen and experts from CIS, EurAsEC agencies, World Bank and the Asian Bank of Development are invited to the conference," the press service informs.

The Eurasian Bank of Development is the international financial organization founded by Russia and Kazakhstan in January, 2006 with the purpose of assistance to development of market economy of the states-participants, their steady economic growth and expansion of mutual trade and economic relations. The authorized capital of the bank is $1.5 billion.
