Astana. September 26. Kazakhstan Today - Astana hosts the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation of Kazakhstan and Belarus, the agency reports.

The Kazakhstan party is headed by the Minister of Emergency, Vladimir Bozhko, and Belarus - Vice Prime Minister, Ivan Bambiza.

According to the Emergency Ministry, "cooperation between the countries develops in mutual understanding and trust." "Contractual-legal base of the Kazakhstan-Belarus cooperation totals more than 60 contracts and agreements in various branches," he added.

According to the chairman of the Kazakhstan delegation, growth of mutual commodity turnover made $525.1 million and volume of export of Kazakhstan production to Belarus for 2007 made $129.2 million. Volume of import of Belarus production to Kazakhstan for 2007 reached $395.9 million.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, will meet Vice Prime Minister of Belarus, Ivan Bambiza, in the second half of the day.
