Astana, Kabul to sign cooperation agreement in struggle against drugs

Kazakhstan and Afghanistan plan to sign the cooperation agreement on struggle against drug trafficking.

Astana. September 19. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and Afghanistan plan to sign the cooperation agreement on struggle against drug trafficking. The decision was accepted on Tuesday during the first session of the Kazakhstan-Afghan intergovernmental commission on commerce and economic cooperation, the agency reports.

"The Afghan party agreed to consider an opportunity of signing the Cooperation agreement in struggle against drug trafficking, psychotropic substances, their analogues, precursors and their misuse," the report was signed, following the results of the session, by the co-chairmen of the commission. "The commission charged the parties to speed up preparation of the agreement for signing," the document states.

The co-chairman of the intergovernmental commission from the Kazakhstan party is vice Minister of Industry and Commerce Kuandyk Bishimbayev, Afghanistan party - vice Minister of Commerce and Industry Ziauddin Zia.
