Almaty. January 28. Kazakhstan Today - This year the main attention of the World Economic Forum in Davos will be on the governments instead of banks and hedge-funds. The Wall Street Journal writes, the agency reports citing information resource inopressa.ru.

"This year the focus of the World Economic Forum in Davos will be on governments rather than banks and hedge funds."

According to the Wall Street Journal, this is connected with the fact that only taxpayers have money and influence in the conditions of the global financial crisis. "Perhaps this is the first Davos, where capitalism will be recognized as a failed model," the Professor of French Business School, Insean Ethane Capstein, said.

The World Economic Forum will begin in the evening on Tuesday and will be attended by 40 leaders of the states- far more than last year.

According to the Wall Street Journal, two main issues that will be discussed at the forum are: How much will the global recession worsen? and How to achieve the growth needed to overcome it? "Meanwhile, the IMF is likely to reduce its forecast of global growth below 1% because growth in China has been below expectations.

According to the economists, this forum can give a chance for development of a new economic model. "The period of full improvisation begins. There is no best method any more, which could be an example for guidance," Professor of Leiden University, Victor Halbershtadt, explained.
