Bishkek to host session of Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan

Bishkek. July 12. Kazakhstan Today - Bishkek to host the session of the Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan in the end of August or the beginning of September. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Askar Bashimov informed today at the press conference, the agency reports.

"The decision to carry out the session was accepted during the meeting of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov and the President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev," A. Beshimov informed. During these negotiations the decision to organize the meeting of the leaders of the governments of two states up to the end of the year and discuss the agenda of the forthcoming first session of the highest interstate council of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan was accepted.

In this connection, the Ministries for Foreign Affairs of two Republics should prepare the agenda of this event. It is planned that one of the main questions will become discussion of the concept of creation of the Union of the Central Asian states.

As it was informed earlier, the agreement on creation of the interstate council was signed in April, 2007 during the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to Bishkek.
