CICMA special working group began its work in Bangkok

Astana. March 13. Kazakhstan Today - The Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building (CICMA) special working group began its work in Bangkok. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan press secretary Ilyas Omarov informed at Monday briefing, the agency reports.

"The conference will last for two days, anticipating the next session of the committee of senior officials of the forum scheduled for March 14," the press secretary noted.

"The peculiarity of the event is that it is taking place for the first time in its history outside of Kazakhstan. The fact opens a new landmark in development of CICMA process demonstrating its growing demand in the region and the interest to it in the world."

"During the session the project Cooperative approach to realization of the measures of trust CICMA will be considered," I. Omarov noted. "This document provides a concrete definition of the interests of the countries-participants and definition of mechanisms of multilateral interaction in economic, ecological and humanitarian spheres and in the field of new challenges and threats," he explained.
