CIS observer mission in Majilis elections to be headed by CIS Executive Committee Chairman

Minsk. July 6. Kazakhstan Today - The CIS observer mission in the extraordinary elections in Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan will be headed by the Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Vladimir Rushaylo, CIS Executive Committee press service informed the agency.

According to the press service, the nomination of the Executive Secretary V. Rushaylo had been introduced for coordination at the council of permanent plenipotentiary representatives of the CIS member states Executive Committee according to the regulations on the Mission of CIS observers in presidential and parliamentary elections and approved on July 4.

"The mission will include 30 long-term and about 400 short-term observers from the CIS countries, including the representatives of Inter-parliamentary assembly of the CIS member states, the Union of Russia and Belarus," the press service informed. The Mission will open in the middle of July.

"The Mission staff will be located in Astana and its branches will be working in a number of regions of Kazakhstan," the press service specified.
