CIS representatives of Foreign Ministries to discuss prospects of development of Commonwealth

Foreign Ministries' consultations concerning development of the Commonwealth of Independent States took place on December 8th in the CIS Executive Committee, the agency reports with reference to Asia-Plus.

Dushanbe. December 9. Kazakhstan Today - Foreign Ministries' consultations concerning development of the Commonwealth of Independent States took place on December 8th in the CIS Executive Committee, the agency reports with reference to Asia-Plus.

According to the press centre of CIS Executive Committee, multilevel foreign ministries' consultations are one of the forms of co-operation of the CIS member states.

"The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CIS member states drew their attention not only to the reached results, but also to the perspective goals and problems at the session on December 8th, on the day of the 17th anniversary of formation of the Commonwealth of Independent States," the press centre of the CIS Executive Committee informed.

"This format has existed since 1995. During the annual consultations the participants discuss the problems of OSCE, the European Union, the agenda of the UN General Assembly sessions, cooperation of the CIS countries in the international organizations (the United Nations, OSCE), and the joint actions on counteraction to the modern challenges and threats."
