Coordination meeting to take place following results of summit of IFAR founder states

Ashgabat will host the international event on July 16th - a coordination meeting, following the results of the summit of the leaders of the states - founders of the International Fund of Aral Rescue (IFAR), the agency reports citing the press service of IFAR Executive Committee.

Almaty. July 16. Kazakhstan Today - Ashgabat will host the international event on July 16th - a coordination meeting, following the results of the summit of the leaders of the states - founders of the International Fund of Aral Rescue (IFAR), the agency reports citing the press service of IFAR Executive Committee.

According to the press service, the chairmen of the structures of the United Nations, OSCE, European Union, IFAR Executive Committee and its branches, representatives of the governments of five Central Asian states, and the regional and international organizations will take part in the meeting,.

During the meeting, the chairman of IFAR Executive Committee, Sagitt Ibatullin, will speak about final conclusions of the summit and the the key measures necessary for realization of its decisions. The meeting participants will discuss regional environmental problems and water resources management issues in the Aral Sea.

"During the meeting the officials will exchange opinions on possible measures, taking into account expansion of regional cooperation in water, energy and agricultural sectors. According to the preliminary program, Alex Grzhibovsky, international expert of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, will make a conceptual presentation on water issues at the meeting," the press service informed.

The meeting participants will accept the final document.
