CSTO countries to struggle against criminality in information technologies

The CSTO member states plan to struggle against criminality in the sphere of information technologies, the agency reports referring to the CSTO secretariat press service.

Moscow. April 18. Kazakhstan Today - The CSTO member states plan to struggle against criminality in the sphere of information technologies, the agency reports referring to the CSTO secretariat press service.

According to the press service, joint consultations of the members of the working group took place in the committee of the secretaries of the CSTO Secutiry Councils concerning information policy and safety and the representatives of the competent bodies of the CSTO member states dealing with struggle against criminality in the sphere of information technologies.

During consultations the proposal of the Russian party on organization and carrying out under the CSTO aegis of joint actions on counteraction to crimes in the sphere of information technologies has been considered.

"The initiative of Russia and the experts of the CSTO member states is recognized actual and perspective by the members of the working group. The CSTO secretariat has been recommended to address the CSTO member states with the proposal on preparation and carrying out of the joint operation on prevention and suppression of crimes in the sphere of information technologies," the chairman of the department of counteraction to challenges and threats of the CSTO secretariat Vyacheslav Voloh.
