CSTO discussed program of joint actions on formation of system of information security

The session participants of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) discussed the program of joint actions on formation of system of information security of CSTO member states, CSTO Secretariat press service informed the agency.

Moscow. June 11. Kazakhstan Today - The session participants of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) discussed the program of joint actions on formation of system of information security of CSTO member states, CSTO Secretariat press service informed the agency.

According to the press service, the document has been prepared by the working group at Committee of Secretaries of CSTO member states Security Councils concerning information policy and safety according to Committee of Secretaries of CSTO member states decision accepted in November, 2006.

According to the program, formation of the system of information safety of CSTO member states provides for development of the uniform conceptual body in this sphere, analysis of threats for information safety of the member states, creation of the model systems of information safety and the draft agreement of cooperation of CSTO states in this area.

The actuality of maintenance of information safety is conditioned by increasing influence of information and information-communication technologies on political, economic, defense and other components of state security. Information and information-communication technologies are the essential factors influencing formation of modern society and creating incidences of new threats to collective safety, the program informs.

CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha took part in the session under the presidency of plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyzstan Republic at CSTO Zamirbek Mambetzhunusov.
