CSTO experts to discuss non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction

Consultations of experts of the Ministries for Foreign Affairs and other interested ministries and departments of the CSTO member states concerning non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction will take place in Moscow on April, 21st, the agency reports citing the CSTO Secretariat press service.

Kazakhstan Today - Consultations of experts of the Ministries for Foreign Affairs and other interested ministries and departments of the CSTO member states concerning non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction will take place in Moscow on April, 21st, the agency reports citing the CSTO Secretariat press service.

The purpose of the consultations - to exchange information on the problems of preparation for the third session of the preparatory committee of the conference of 2010 on consideration of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and to discuss the questions of cooperation of the CSTO member states on revelation and suppression of illegal circulation of weapons of mass destruction and ways of their delivery," the head of Department of Political Cooperation of the CSTO Secretariat, Victor Sytkin, informed.

According to the press service, the consultations are held according to the plan of consultations of the representatives of the CSTO member states concerning foreign policy, security and defense for the second half of 2008 - the first half of 2009.
