CSTO Secretary General noted contribution of Kazakhstan to strengthening of system of collective safety

The CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha noted contribution of Kazakhstan to strengthening of the system of collective safety.

Almaty. March 27. Kazakhstan Today - The CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha noted contribution of Kazakhstan to strengthening of the system of collective safety. The CSTO Secretary General stated at the meeting with the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Danial Ahmetov on Wednesday, the agency reports referring to CSTO press service.

According to the press service, during the meeting N. Bordyuzha and D. Ahmetov exchanged opinions on the situation in the zone of CSTO responsibility and prospects of development of military cooperation in the format of the organization. The parties discussed the question of CSTO relations with other regional security organizations including NATO.

The CSTO Secretary General informed the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan on the plans of development of military cooperation in CSTO format and emphasized special contribution of the Republic of Kazakhstan in strengthening the system of collective safety.

The meeting took place during N. Bordjuzha's working trip to Kazakhstan in connection with preparation for the session of the CSTO authorized bodies - Ministerial Councils of Defense, Foreign Affairs and the Committee of the Secretaries of the Security Councils planned for the second quarter of the current year, CSTO press service informed.
