Customs Union countries to introduce package of amendments to Customs Code
Astana. February 11. Kazakhstan Today - The Customs Union member countries intend to introduce until April 1 a package of amendments to the Customs Code. Vice chairman of the representation of customs service of Russia at the Customs Control Committee of Kazakhstan, Sergey Kuryakov, informed at the meeting with participants of foreign trade activities in Astana, the agency reports.
"Though the Customs Code contract of the Customs Union has been accepted, the group of representatives of three countries are preparing the protocol on the amendments to the contract by the assignment of prime ministers of the member countries," S. Kuryakov informed.
"The Customs Code was written only by the customs services. "Now, the code has been discussed with other ministries, departments and businesses. Therefore, there will be many amendments introduced to the code," he explained.
"The amendments will be introduced until July 1. They all should be defined until April 1 so that the member countries ratify these documents so that they come into force by July 1."
