Customs Union of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus to begin work in 2010

Almaty. April 7. Kazakhstan Today - The Customs Union of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus can already begin its work in 2010. The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, informed in the State Duma on Monday in his report on the government work in 2008, the agency reports citing Regnum.

V. Putin said that formation of the legal bases of the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan is practically completed. "I think we will start the work of the Customs Union a year earlier - in 2010," Regnum cites the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

As informed earlier, the contract on creation of the unified customs territory and formation of the Customs Union was signed at the session of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) taken place on October, 6th, 2007 in Dushanbe.
