Czech Republic to strengthen relations with Kazakhstan
Astana. January 21. Kazakhstan Today - The Czech Republic intends to strengthen its relations with Kazakhstan. The First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Czech Republic, Tomash Pojar, informed at Tuesday's briefing in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.
According to T. Pojar, the purpose of his visit to Kazakhstan - carrying out of bilateral negotiations and discussion of the questions concerning chairmanship of the Czech Republic in 2009 in the European Union (EU).
"The Czech Republic along with Kazakhstan is working over increase of the level of economic cooperation, our contractual-legal base," he said. "As the representative of the EU, I declare that the European Union is interested in development of cooperation with Kazakhstan - both during the chairmanship of the Czech Republic and in the future," T. Pojar informed.
"Within the nearest five months we will hold working meetings at various levels in Kazakhstan and in Brussels. We hope that these meetings will bring specific results which will be for the benefit of Kazakhstan and Czechia. Today together with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan we discussed the questions of economic cooperation and some specific themes of cooperation between the Kazakhstan and Czechia," he noted.
