Deliveries of irrigation water to the south of Kazakhstan from Kyrgyzstan has been resumed. Water has recently arrived at Taraz hydrosystem. Vice Director of Tarazvodhoz, Berik Nuraliev, informed the agency.

"Water has come. We have opened the gate of the Talas hydrosystem and water will be flowing to the river Talas," B. Nuraliev informed.

As informed earlier, water deliveries from the Kirov water basin were discontinued on May 18. "Our Kyrgyz colleagues informed on May 18 that from May 17 until May 28 the Kirov water basin, which is in the territory of Kyrgyzstan, would be closed for repair works. Deliveries of water from the Kirov water basin to the river Talas have been limited to a minimum - 17 cubic meters a second since May 18 without any official notification," Director of the Republican state enterprise Tarazvodhoz, Ilyas Kazykeev, informed.
