EurAsEc Anti-Crisis Fund to begin its work in autumn

EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund may begin its work in autumn of 2009, the agency reports citing official mass media.

Almaty. June 8. Kazakhstan Today - EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund may begin its work in autumn of 2009, the agency reports citing official mass media.

The chairman of the Eurasian Bank, Igor Finogenov, said during the Petersburg Economic Forum, the Prime Ministers of the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund will sign the agreement on establishment of the fund and the agreement with the Eurasian Development Bank on fund administration on June, 9th.

After signing the agreement, the countries-founders will carry out the interstate procedures, which will last not less than three months. Thus, the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund with the volume of $10 billion will begin its work in the early autumn of 2009.

EurAsEC member states are: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. In May 2002, Moldova and Ukraine became EurAsEC countries observers. In 2003, Armenia became EuRAsEC observer country. Uzbekistan, which has suspended its membership in the organization now, became a EurAsEC member in January, 2006.
