EurAsEC anti-recessionary fund to begin its work in 2009
Almaty. May 27. Kazakhstan Today - EurAsEC anti-recessionary fund will begin its work in the middle of 2009. The President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, said on Tuesday at the meeting with Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, Alexey Kudrin, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.
According to ITAR-TASS, the President of Russia, D. Medvedev, at the meeting with A. Kudrin discussed the measures undertaken by Russia for realization of the arrangements reached at the summit of Big Twenty in London and collective efforts on minimization of the consequences of the global crisis.
"The fund will start its work in the middle of this year. My counterparts, the leaders of the EurAsEC states, have expressed an interest in use of tools of this fund," the President said.
As informed earlier, the leaders of the EurAsEC member states reached the arrangement on creation of the anti-recessionary fund at the rate of $10 billion during the summit, on February 4, to overcome the consequence of the world financial crisis.
