EurAsEC countries to create uniform customs space - Rapota

"The package of documents on creation of uniform customs will be signed on October 6 in Dushanbe at the summit of the leaders of the states of the EurAsEC member countries.

Rapota emphasized that creation of the unified customs space - the next stage of the activity of the organization after creating the zone of free commerce. According to the EurAsEC Secretary General, "the customs union, at first, will be created on the basis of three states: Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus." He specified that two packages of documents will be signed at the presidential and governmental levels. The leaders of the states of the organization should consider 17 questions.

The participants will consider the documents on creation of uniform customs territory, the order of joining and withdrawal from the customs union, creation of the supreme body of the customs union.

The Secretary General of the organization informed that CSTO Secretary General, SCO Secretary General, OSCE and the representatives from the Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, observers of the Organization have been invited to the EurAsEC session. The representatives from Turkmenistan who show big interest in the field of creation of uniform transport system will be invited to the meeting.

EurAsEC includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
