EurAsEC Secretary General, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan discussed session of EurAsEC Customs Union Commission

The Secretary General of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC), Tair Mansurov, and the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, discussed the forthcoming sessions of Integration Committee and the EurAsEC Customs Union Commission, which will take place in Almaty on September 25, the agency reports citing the press service of the organization.

Almaty. August 20. Kazakhstan Today - The Secretary General of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC), Tair Mansurov, and the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, discussed the forthcoming sessions of Integration Committee and the EurAsEC Customs Union Commission, which will take place in Almaty on September 25, the agency reports citing the press service of the organization.

According to the press service, during the meeting, its participants discussed the results of VII session of the Commission of the Customs Union taken place on August 12 in Moscow. The parties have discussed the measures on acceleration of formation of the legal base of the Customs Union to start functioning of the Customs Union since January 1, 2010 when the uniform custom duties of Belorussia, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation concerning the third countries come into force.

The parties also discussed the course of preparation for the next sessions of the State Council - at the level of the leaders of the states in November, 2008 in Minsk and at the level of the prime ministers in December, 2008 in St. Petersburg.

EurAsEC Secretary General informed K. Masimov of the forthcoming sessions of Integration Committee and the EurAsEC Commission of Customs Union that will be held on September 25, 2009 in Almaty.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan also agreed to take part in the planned for September 24th in Almaty investment forum.
