EurAsEC session to discuss formation of Customs Union legal base

Astana. October 27. Kazakhstan Today - Today at the 17th session of the Interstate EurAsEC Council in Moscow the Heads of the governments will consider the course of preparation of the documents necessary for formation of the Customs union legal base, the agency reports referring to Kazakh MFA official representative Yerzhan Ashikbayev.

According to EurAsEC Secretary General Grigory Rapota, the package contains about 40 documents creating normative-legal base of the Customs union formation.

The session participants will discuss the questions of the fees of EurAsEC member states into the budget of the organization for nine months of 2006 and the next session of EurAsEC Interstate Council at the level of the heads of the governments.

The draft agreement on acceptance of grant obligations between EurAsEC and the International association of development (the project on struggle with AIDS in Central Asia is planned to be discussed.

The heads of the governments will discuss the question of granting the status of EurAsEC observer to the Interstate aviation committee. The information of the Secretary of EurAsEC Integration committee on the course of the legal registration of Uzbekistan will be heard.

EurAsEC members are Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine possess the status of observers.
