Federation Council ratified Customs Union Customs Code contract

The Federation Council ratified the Customs Code contract of the Customs Union, signed on November 27, 2009 in Minsk, the agency reports citing RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

Almaty. May 26. Kazakhstan Today - The Federation Council ratified the Customs Code contract of the Customs Union, signed on November 27, 2009 in Minsk, the agency reports citing RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

According to RBC, the contract was signed in order to form the legal base of the EurAsEC Customs Union to strengthen cooperation of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.

The purpose of the contract to maintain customs regulation in the uniform customs territory of the Customs Union. The document defines competence, the rights and duties of the Customs Union members, including the law-enforcement activity, and the rights and duties of the foreign trade activities participants. The document assumes formation of the uniform commodity nomenclature of foreign trade activities and defining of the country of origin of goods and their customs cost.
