Human Rights Commissioner of Kazakhstan to take part in UN General Assembly session

The Human Rights Commissioner of Kazakhstan, Askar Shakirov, will take part in the session of the UN General Assembly. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, informed at a weekly briefing in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan on Tuesday, the agency reports.

Astana. December 10. Kazakhstan Today - The Human Rights Commissioner of Kazakhstan, Askar Shakirov, will take part in the session of the UN General Assembly. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, informed at a weekly briefing in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan on Tuesday, the agency reports.

"The session of the UN General Assembly will take place in New York on December, 10th, 2009, dated to the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Human Rights Commissioner of Kazakhstan, A. Shakirov, will take part in the session as well," Y. Ashikbayev said.

During the work of the session its participants will sign the Optional Protocol to Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
