IAC forum Capitals of XXI century: innovation and traditions in architecture and town-planning began its work in Astana

Forum of International Assembly of Capitals and Cities (IAC) Capitals of XXI century: innovation and traditions in architecture and town-planning started its work in Astana on Saturday, July 5, the agency reports.

Astana. July 8. Kazakhstan Today - Forum of International Assembly of Capitals and Cities (IAC) Capitals of XXI century: innovation and traditions in architecture and town-planning started its work in Astana on Saturday, July 5, the agency reports.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov, mayor of Moscow - IAC president Jury Luzhkov, Astana akim Imangali Tasmagambetov took part in the forum.

The forum is being carried out within the limits of 10-year anniversary of the capital of Kazakhstan at support of Astana akimat and the government of Moscow. The theme of the forum has been defined according to the goals for 2006 - 2010 of IAC long-distance complex program City - to City, promoting on the basis of integration, cooperation, exchange of the best practices, innovative technologies to steady development of cities in all spheres of city, including construction, ecology, architecture and municipal improvements."

The summary report reflecting position of International Assembly of Capitals and Cities and common for large cities problem in town-planning, architecture and other adjacent with them branches of municipal economy will be presented at the forum in Astana, the message states.

Representatives of 80 cities of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine have participated in the work of the forum.
