III International Congress of Ombudsman took place in Issyk Kul on Friday, the agency reports citing Ombudsman Tursunbek Akun.

Bishkek. July 20. Kazakhstan Today - III International Congress of Ombudsman took place in Issyk Kul on Friday, the agency reports citing Ombudsman Tursunbek Akun.

The International Forum for Human Rights took place under the aegis of the UN Development Program (UNDP) and OSCE. Besides discussion of the general questions on human rights, the meeting participants would establish practical cooperation with ombudsmen from various countries. "Following the results of a three-day forum, the decision on creation of the information portal of ombudsmen would be accepted," T. Akun said.

The meeting participants signed multilateral agreement concerning migration to observe the rights and guarantees of citizens while crossing the borders, to promote establishment of institute of ombudsman in Turkey, to exchange experience in crisis resolution and interaction of public institutes, and to hold the forum annually in Kyrgyzstan.

Ombudsmen and legal experts from Kazakhstan, Russia, Czechia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iran, Pakistan, Ukraine and other countries of near and far abroad took part in the congress.
