Interstate Commission for Sustainable Development session to discuss strategy of sustainable development of Central Asia

The session participants of the Interstate Commission for Sustainable Development of Central Asia will discuss the strategy of sustainable development of the region on June 23-25. Director of Tajik branch of Scientific-Information Centre of Interstate Commission for Sustainable Development Dzhalil Buzlukov informed in the interview to journalists during the break of the First International Forum - Sustainable Development in the Eurasian Continent on Tuesday, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The session participants of the Interstate Commission for Sustainable Development of Central Asia will discuss the strategy of sustainable development of the region on June 23-25. Director of Tajik branch of Scientific-Information Centre of Interstate Commission for Sustainable Development Dzhalil Buzlukov informed in the interview to journalists during the break of the First International Forum - Sustainable Development in the Eurasian Continent on Tuesday, the agency reports.

He emphasized that the strategy was accepted on the basis of "Almaty Declaration of leaders of the states of the region signed in 1997. One of the items provided development of the national strategy of sustainable development and regional approaches to sustainable development."

"11 years have passed and only today there are real preconditions for preparation, discussion, and, finally, acceptance of this common regional strategy. We will discuss the concept of this strategy at the next session of Interstate Commission for Sustainable Development, after which we will accept procedure questions on its coordination in all countries and then we will coordinate and make a decision at what level this strategy will be realized," Interstate Commission for Sustainable Development representative noted.
