Islamabad hosts 34th session of Foreign Ministers of OIC states

Astana. May 15. Kazakhstan Today - The capital of Pakistan Islamabad hosts the 34th session of the session of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Conference member states (OIC) which includes 57 countries of the Muslim world. The press service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan informed the agency. The Kazakhstan delegation is taking part in the work of the session of Foreign Ministers of OIC states headed by the vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Kazakhstan Nurlan Yermekbayev.

According to the press service, the agenda of the session includes more than 80 items in the field of economics, law and culture. The OIC Secretary General Prof. Ekmelledin Ihsanoglu is expected to present the report on maintenance of cooperation with the governmental and nongovernmental organizations on opposition of Islamophobia.

The session is called to continue the reform of the organization according to the 10-year program of approved at its third special summit in Mecca (Saudi Arabia) in 2005.

Kazakhstan is OIC member since 1995.
