Issyk Kul hosts session of CIS Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy

The session of CIS Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy is taking place in the city of Cholpon-Ata of Issyk-Kul region, the agency reports citing the press service of the State Agency for Antimonopoly Policy and Competition Development of Kyrgyzstan.

Bishkek. June 19. Kazakhstan Today - The session of CIS Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy is taking place in the city of Cholpon-Ata of Issyk-Kul region, the agency reports citing the press service of the State Agency for Antimonopoly Policy and Competition Development of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the press service of Antimonopoly Department of Kyrgyzstan, the session participants will discuss the role of antimonopoly bodies in the course of overcoming of the negative consequences of the world financial crisis and will consider the results of the work of the staff on joint investigations of infringements of the antimonopoly law of the CIS member states, conditions for competition in the market of medical products, penal sanctions and their application by antimonopoly bodies.

Special attention will be focused on the question of reforming of electro power branch of the CIS member states and the role of the antimonopoly institutions in maintenance of conditions of competition in the market of electric energy industry acquiring an increasing importance in the interstate and intraregional relations.

The representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine are taking part in the session of Interstate Council.
