Kazakh media delegation visits Anadolu Agency

A Kazakh media delegation visited Anadolu Agency headquarters in capital Ankara last week.
A Kazakh media delegation visited Anadolu Agency headquarters in capital Ankara last week.

Representing the leading Kazakh newspapers, television channels and news agencies, the delegation of 10 people was welcomed by the Anadolu Agency's Foreign Languages Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Ozturk.

Ozturk informed the delegates about the agency activities, the languages of broadcast and its objectives, as well as the international structure and functioning of the organization, Anadolu Agency reports.

He said that Anadolu Agency broadcasting in 13 languages is among the world's most important media organizations.

Founded in 1920, Anadolu Agency is a well-established global news agency with operations in most major regions around the globe, including the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Asia-Pacific, and serves subscribers in more than 100 countries.

Underlining the common values between Kazakh and Turkish people, Ozturk said: "We have actually come from the same place. We got up from the Central Asia and scattered around the world."

Following the video presentation about the agency, Ozturk answered the questions of Kazakh delegates.

Hosted Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, TIKA, the delegation will pay working visits in Ankara and Istanbul between Dec.11-16 as part of a program to improve media relations between Turkey and Kazakhstan.
