Kazakh PM to take part in EurAsEC Council session
Almaty. December 12. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, will take part in the session of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) today in Moscow, the agency reports citing the official mass media.
According to the official mass media, yesterday late at night, K. Masimov held the meeting in Moscow with the President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, to discuss development of bilateral economic cooperation, including with the EurAsEC.
K. Masimov plans to hold the meeting with Vladimir Putin to discuss a broad range of questions of cooperation of two countries in trade and economic sphere.
The prime ministers of EurAsEC member states at the session of the Interstate Council will consider the measures for overcoming the influence of the world financial crisis, developed yesterday during the joint meeting of the Council for Financial and Economic Policy of EurAsEC and the Council of chairmen of Central Banks.
The session participants will sign a package of documents, including the Customs Union created by Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.
The members of Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community are five states - Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. In May, 2002, Moldova and Ukraine received the status of observer of EurAsEC. In 2003 Armenia received the observer status.
