Kazakhstan and Slovakia to consider opportunity of realization of joint investment projects - Kazyna

Astana. September 22. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and Slovakia will consider an opportunity of realization of mutually beneficial joint investment projects, including on the territory of our country, Fund of Steady Development Kazyna informed the agency.

"The Protocol of the 4th session of the Kazakhstan-Slovak intergovernmental commission taken place on September 18-19 in Astana was prepared and signed on September 19, 2008. The Protocol provides study of experience of creation of technological and industrial parks in Slovakia, an exchange of experience on support and development of small and medium business, consideration of mutually beneficial investment projects in Open Company Kazinvest and Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO)," the find informed.

The chairman of Slovak commission, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics of Slovak Republic, Peter Zhiga, emphasized that "Kazakhstan is considered as the strategic partner of Slovakia and European Union in the field of energy."

"Slovakia has wide experience and possibilities for cooperation on nuclear, water and wind power stations, in the spheres of high technologies in agriculture, construction and developments of tourism," he noted.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Education of Slovak Republic, Joseph Gabanik, defined such attractive spheres for bilateral cooperation, as public health services, space research, and information-communication technologies.

The Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Slovakia to Kazakhstan, Dushan Podgorsky, suggested the Kazakhstan party considering some questions, among which delivery of fertilizers from Zhambyl oblast to Slovakia, construction of new meat processing factory in Taldykorgan, and delivery of pumps and armatures from Slovakia to Kazakhstan.
