Astana. April 23. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan citizens detained after checking contacts of Tsanayev brothers violated U.S. visa, Kazakhstan Today reports.

"After the main suspects in the terrorist attack in Boston have been identified, U.S. law enforcement agencies began checking their possible links and contacts. Specifically, the police interviewed the students who studied with the suspects, and could in some way communicate with them," the Foreign Ministry press service informed.

According to the agency, "the inspections revealed that two Kazakh students in the course of their education violated the visa regime and the United States. In this regard, they were detained until clarifying the circumstances."

"Currently, our consul is working in Boston with the U.S. authorities and liaising with the detained students and their families. Our citizens do not have complaints related to their physical state and treatment by U.S. law enforcement. Kazakh diplomats are assisting them in finding a lawyer," the Foreign Ministry explained.

However, the Foreign Ministry did not specify in what relations the detained Kazakh students were with the Tsarnayev brothers suspected of planning terrorist attacks in Boston.

As previously reported, friends of Johar Tsarnayev, who is accused of committing a terrorist act in the marathon in Boston, were taken into custody in New Bedford, Massachusetts.

According to The New York Daily News, Azmat and Diaz, called "neighbors", were taken away in handcuffs from his new apartment about 4:00 pm on Saturday. The reason for their arrest is violation of immigration law, the authorities said.
