Kazakhstan, Estonia signed investment protection agreement

Kazakhstan and Estonia signed an agreement on encouragement and mutual protection of investments in Tallinn on Wednesday.

Almaty. April 21. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and Estonia signed an agreement on encouragement and mutual protection of investments in Tallinn on Wednesday, Kazakhstan Today reports.

An agreement on encouragement and mutual protection of investments was signed on Wednesday in Tallin, Estonia, between Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs Juhan Parts and Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov, Trend reported.

According to Parts, the treaty creates favorable conditions for investors, ensuring their rights and freedom of action both in Kazakhstan and Estonia. The Estonian parliament will soon ratify the agreement.

Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Estonia amounted to $ 74.5 million in 2010, nearly 1.5 times more than in 2009 ($ 54.3 million). Kazakhstan has registered 26 joint ventures in the fields of trade, finance, architecture, engineering and construction.

Kazakh delegation led by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived in Tallinn on Wednesday.
