Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan MFA discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation

The Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan - Marat Tazhin and Ednan Karabayev discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation, the agency reports.

Astana. February 18. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan - Marat Tazhin and Ednan Karabayev discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation, the agency reports.

"At today's session of the meeting of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs the parties discussed the urgent issues of bilateral cooperation, the ways of realization of the reached arrangements between the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and exchanged opinions on a number of problems of the regional character," the chairman of the Kazakhstan foreign policy department said at the briefing.

According to M. Tazhin, the parties discussed the questions of rational use of hydro-energy resources. "We agreed to take all the necessary measures for prevention of possible consequences of uncontrollable flow of water of Syr-Darya river," he said.
