Kazakhstan, Lithuania to expand cooperation in field of transport and agriculture

Kazakhstan and Lithuania will expand cooperation in the field of transport and agriculture. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov said at the press conference, following the results of the negotiations with the Prime Minister of Lithuania Gediminas Kirkilas on Wednesday.

Astana. May 15. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and Lithuania will expand cooperation in the field of transport and agriculture. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov said at the press conference, following the results of the negotiations with the Prime Minister of Lithuania Gediminas Kirkilas on Wednesday.

"We discussed cooperation in the field of agricultural processing. This is the most crucial direction for Kazakhstan nowadays," the Prime Minister emphasized. "Lithuania has vast experience in this sphere. Lithuanian production is competitive even in such complex for Europe market of milk and meat," the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan noted.

The Prime Minister of Lithuania noted the necessity of development of trade cooperation between two countries.

According to official data, commodity turnover between Kazakhstan and Lithuania last year made $118.5 million. 22 enterprises with participation of the Lithuanian capital work in Kazakhstan.
