Kazakhstan PM will pay official visit to Tajikistan

According to the source, during the visit he plans to meet the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, the Prime Minister, Akil Akilov, and other officials of the country.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan will take part in the next session of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan to sign some documents of economic character, following the results of the meeting.

According to the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Tajikistan, for the last 5 years volume of commodity turnover between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan has grown by 3 times and in 2007 exceeded $300 million.

"The interest of Kazakhstan in participation in economic development of Tajikistan will further increase these volumes," diplomatic representation informed, having added that the joint investment fund of $100 million has been created aiming at promoting development of economic cooperation.

"The official visit of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, to Tajikistan will give a powerful impulse to further development of mutual relations," diplomatic representation informs.

The Days of Kazakh Culture will take place in Tajikistan in the end of October. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan plans to take part in the solemn opening ceremony.
