Kazakhstan President, Prime Minister of Lithuania discussed expansion of trade and economic cooperation between two countries

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Prime Minister of the Lithuanian Republic Gediminas Kirkilas discussed questions of expansion of trade and economic cooperation between two countries on Tuesday, the agency reports referring to the president's press service.

Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Prime Minister of the Lithuanian Republic Gediminas Kirkilas discussed questions of expansion of trade and economic cooperation between two countries on Tuesday, the agency reports referring to the president's press service.

"Volume of mutual trade which made in 2007 $118.4 million, does not correspond to Kazakhstan and Lithuania potential, but, considering dynamical growth of economy of two countries, has good prospects," the press service informs.

The parties exchanged opinions on chairmanship in OSCE of Kazakhstan in 2010 and Lithuania - in 2011. "We will concentrate on problems of Central Asia, the Caspian and Black Sea regions," Kirkilas said.

"The Prime Minister of Lithuania noted that his country is interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan in power sphere and informed that delegation of the Lithuanian businessmen arrived in Astana intending to invest resources in the economy of Kazakhstan," the message states.

Kirkilas invited representatives of Kazakhstan business to take part in realization of investment projects on the territory of Lithuania, in particular, in construction of three large logistics centers - in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda.
