Kazakhstan and Russia agreed on railway transit. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, informed on Friday at a press conference, following the results of the session of the supreme body of the Customs Union at the level of prime ministers in St. Petersburg, the agency reports citing official mass media.

Almaty. November 22. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and Russia agreed on railway transit. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, informed on Friday at a press conference, following the results of the session of the supreme body of the Customs Union at the level of prime ministers in St. Petersburg, the agency reports citing official mass media.

"The questions put forward by Kazakhstan, probably for over the last 19 years, concerned railway transit and tariffs. It is very important for the Kazakhstan enterprises. We do not have any disagreements on railway transit including within the uniform economic space," K. Masimov said.

"We have found the mutually acceptable decision in this package of documents for the Kazakhstan enterprises, located in the west and that have shortage of electric power, due to transit of the Kazakhstan electric power through the territory of the Russian Federation."
