Kazakhstan, Russia held consultations concerning simplification of customs control over Russian-Kazakhstan border

The Russian-Kazakhstan joint consultations concerning simplification of customs control over the Russian-Kazakhstan border took place on August 25 -27, 2008 in Federal customs service of the Russian Federation in Moscow, the agency reports referring to the press service of Kazakhstan temir zholy.

Kazakhstan Today - The Russian-Kazakhstan joint consultations concerning simplification of customs control over the Russian-Kazakhstan border took place on August 25 -27, 2008 in Federal customs service of the Russian Federation in Moscow, the agency reports referring to the press service of Kazakhstan temir zholy.

The chairman of Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kozykorpesh Karbuzov, and the President of JSC Company Kazakhstan temir zholy, Askar Mamin headed Kazakhstan delegation.

During consultations the parties discussed the questions of transportation of goods and vehicles through the Russian-Kazakhstan border by railway and the project of cooperation memorandum.

"Following the results of the negotiations, the decision on necessity of informing on current changes of the normative-legal base, cargo registration, and international cargo and passenger transportation has been accepted," the press service informed.

The parties considered the questions of simplification of order of customs registration of goods intended for commercial activity, transported by physical entities through the border, customs registration of import/export of the goods entered by the Russian party since September 1, 2008.
