Kazakhstan satisfied with SCO course and rates of development - PM

Kazakhstan is satisfied with the course and rates of development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization of Cooperation (SCO). The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, said on Thursday during the session of the Council of Prime Ministers of the SCO member states, the agency reports.

Astana. October 31. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan is satisfied with the course and rates of development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization of Cooperation (SCO). The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, said on Thursday during the session of the Council of Prime Ministers of the SCO member states, the agency reports.

"Kazakhstan as a whole is satisfied with the course and rates of development of the organization for the last period," K. Masimov said. The Prime Minister noted that the signed cooperation agreements in the field of culture, customs and law-enforcement spheres will promote strengthening of legal base and will serve as additional impulses for further high-grade cooperation."

For seven years of SCO existence owing to joint efforts has proved itself as system formative association on the Eurasian space creating essentially new formats of partnership.

"We believe that coming into force of the Contract on long-term good neighborhood, friendship and cooperation will become one more serious step in strenghtening of cooperation of our countries in various spheres," K. Masimov added.

Kazakhstan is finishing all the necessary procedures on ratification of this important document.

SCO includes Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
