Kazakhstan, Singapore signed an intergovernmental protocol to agreement on fiscal evasion prevention

Astana. April 11. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and Singapore signed an intergovernmental protocol to the agreement on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income, Kazakhstan Today reports.

"April 9 in Singapore the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Singaporehave signed an intergovernmental protocol to the agreement on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income," the Foreign Ministry press service informed.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Singapore Erlan Baudarbek-Kozhataevsignedthe document from the Kazakh side with the Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to Kazakhstan SimCheok Lim (SimCheok Lim) from the Singapore side.

The conclusion of the Additional Protocol will help to improve the coordination of the activities of tax authorities of the two countries through the exchange of financial information in order to prevent tax evasion.

The basic Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Singapore for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income was signed on 19 September 2006 and entered into force on 14 August 2007.
