Kazakhstan, South African representatives of diplomatic departments discussed bilateral cooperation

Astana. July 24. Kazakhstan Today - Consultations between the Ministries for Foreign Affairs of the Republic Kazakhstan and the Republic of South Africa took place yesterday in Astana, the agency reports referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Nurlan Ermekbayev headed the Kazakhstan party and vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Asia and Near East headed the South African party at the negotiations.

During the meeting the parties discussed the questions of activization of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Republic of South Africa, in particular, in the field of tourism and mining branch.

The South African party informed on the decision to relocate the Embassy from Almaty to Astana up to the end of 2007. The South African leadership requested to open the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Pretoria.

The diplomats agreed upon carrying out of regular meetings of the ministers of foreign policy departments and their assistants, as well as arranging expansion of bilateral contractual-legal base of the relations.
