Kazakhstan, South Korea ink MoU for nuclear energy research

The memorandum was inked during the meeting of Samruk-Energy and KEPCO senior managers upon directions of Nursultan Nazarbayev that he gave following the nuclear security summit in Seoul.

Almaty. September 21. Kazakhstan Today - Samruk-Energy and South Korean KEPCO corporation have inked a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in research and development of nuclear energy.

According to Equities.com, the report states that the MoU will improve the mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and South Korea and allow them to carry out collaborative research in development of nuclear energy in Kazakhstan and share experience in resolution of existing issues of electric energy sector.

The memorandum was inked during the meeting of Samruk-Energy and KEPCO senior managers upon directions of Nursultan Nazarbayev that he gave following the nuclear security summit in Seoul.

KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation) is South Korea based biggest electric energy company involved in production, transmission and distribution of electric energy and implementation of electric energy projects, including in nuclear, wind and coal energy.

Samruk-Energy is a completely owned company of Samruk-Kazyna, Kazakhstan government's asset management holding.
